What to Do When Your Email Gets Hacked

1. Login to your email account and change your password used to access your emails. This will hopefully stop the hacker gaining access to your email account. If you are unsure how to do this contact your email service provider.

2. If you have any other services linked to your email such as banking, payment services etc. Please ensure no password reset email have been received since you became aware of your email account becoming compromised. This would usually indicate the the hacker has tried to gain access to other online services you use. If you have you will need to also change the passwords on those services immediately.

3. Send an email out to all your contacts informing them you have been hacked and if they receive any strange emails from you to ignore or inform you.
